A separator is a cylindrical or spherical pressure vessel used to separate the gas phase and the liquid phase mixed together in one phase flow, relatively free from each other, simply through the density difference existing between both of them. Generally they are used in drilling effluents. Separators can be horizontal or vertical. Also, they can be divided in 2-phase (oil and gas) or 3-phase (oil, gas and water) separators. A filter is a separator with usually two compartments; the first one has filtering/coalescing elements. As the gas goes through them, the liquid particles coalesce into drops and go to the second compartment, where they are removed. All the equipment manufactured within our shop floor is tailored-made. This means they are designed and built meeting the specific requirements from each customer and each installation. And therefore they can be built in different materials (special steel, stainless steel, other alloys), painted according to different schemes and/or thermally insulated. During the entire manufacturing process we comply with material tracking, and the design and construction are performed in accordance to ASME standards.
